Founded in 2007, T.P.W. Websites, LLC, a leading EdTech company based on Tonawanda, New York, creates and manages websites with resources for teachers, parents, and homeschoolers. Our mission is to provide educators high-quality, affordable teaching resources on the internet.

  • SuperTeacherWorksheets.com - a high traffic subscription website with printable resources for K-5 teachers
  • iKnowIt.com - a subscription website with math practice lessons for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade
Our office is located in the City of Tonawanda. We currently have approximately 20 employees, including IT professionals, graphic artists, writers, customer support, and sales staff. We are proud to be small, but growing Western New York business.

If chosen for this position, you will be responsible for:
  • Lead a team of talented content writers, including establishing and adhering to productivity goals and determining the appropriate workload for team members.
  • Curate website content by uploading new worksheets, drafting optimal worksheet descriptions, and assigning appropriate Common Core or state-specific standards.
  • Review and proofread all reading comprehension submissions received from freelancers and provide feedback, as necessary, as well as write questions, vocabulary activities, and writing prompts to accompany each passage.
  • Write curriculum content for Super Teacher Worksheets and I Know It, as needed.
  • Respond to customers who alert us to content issues, and ensure issues are resolved.
  • Create and maintain an effective and efficient proofreading system for all Super Teacher Worksheets and I Know It content.
  • Lead the development of, and then enforce conformity to, a T.P.W. Websites, LLC Style Guide to ensure consistency in writing and layout.

Ideal attributes of Lead Writer:
  • Management experience strongly preferred
  • Experienced in copy-editing
  • Ability to thoughtfully communicate to colleagues, freelance writers, and customers
  • Ability to accept and provide constructive criticism
  • Possess a growth mindset
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Maintain deep knowledge of English grammar and mechanics
  • Positive team motivator
  • Interest in understanding K-8 students' reading and knowledge levels; mastery of education standards is not a prerequisite
